Okay, so maybe I don’t have my Nofolk’s and my NorWALK’s straight, but who can blame me after a day like we had on Day 2!
Morning dawned on Day 3 a little later than usual for us. Since better than 2/3 of our group got beat down by food poisoning, we decided to have a more leisurely morning and ride schedule for Day 3. In an effort to continue our recovery, we shuttled from our hotel in Hartford down to Norwalk and took an AMAZING ride during the afternoon. Our little 25 mile jaunt took us through New York state briefly before we finally ended up in the ridiculously picturesque town of Ridgefield, CT – a 300-year old town that sits in the foothills of the Berkshires.
Everyone in the group was glad to be back on the bike again, even if there was a little bellyachin’ about the hills…
I’m enjoying the heck out of this time on the road with these amazing people who have all dedicated themselves to fight in one way or another for a cause that is so important to support.
If you can help, I’m aiming to raise $15,000 before we arrive in Raleigh on the 13th of October, and could use your help! You can contribute by clicking on the “Donate Now” button in the widget on the homepage, or by visiting my fundraising page.
