Day 12 dawned quite cool in Fredricksburg, VA. We rolled through 105 miles of Civil War history in a blazing 5 hours, 20 minutes. Legs were falling off!
After about a 20 mile warm-up under beautiful blue skies, we really started to open things up. It was pretty amazing to be able to roll 2-up for literally 40 or 50 miles with just polite drivers waiting patiently to pull around. At some point, things got real, and there was probably a steady 10 – 15 miles of 25mph+ leg-breaking pulls. It was rockin’!
We also ventured through some crazy little correctional facility and came out on the other side – down into this wide open valley and across this amazing river. Check it out…
If you can help, I’m aiming to raise $15,000 before we arrive in Raleigh on the 13th of October, and could use your help! You can contribute by clicking on the “Donate Now” button in the widget on the homepage, or by visiting my fundraising page.
